Rally Costs & Incentives

Fundraising Rewards.png

Here's the deal.

The ride is free.  It always will be.

The rally is free this year, as well.

This is a fundraiser for U.S. Army Green Beret SFC Joe Lowery - please give generously.

When you register, a fundraising page will automatically be created in your name.  You should donate to your own page and then get friends, family and coworkers to donate, as well.  Every dollar you raise above $10 ($15 if you raise $50+ and $20 if you raise $100+) will go directly to our warrior, U.S. Army Green Beret SFC Joe Lowrey and family. White Heart takes the first $10 to help cover our costs for the event. If we raise anything above that (fingers crossed), the rest of it will go into our "Any Warrior" account to help support needs of other warriors on our network.

But we REALLY hope you give what you can.  $30, $50, $100 is nothing for the sacrifice Holly made.

If you raise:

$30 - you'll receive a limited edition patch.  (These will NOT be available for sale at the rally or at future rallies)
$50 - you'll receive the patch and a ride shirt.
$100 - you'll receive patch, shirt, and a challenge coin.

On average, 7 donors to your page make up over $500.  Just shoot an email to family and friends and you'll be surprised.

Top 5 fundraisers get VIP tent access, which entitles you to free snacks and drinks. No one is getting free massages, pedicures, and striking insane business deals in the tent so please don't bother our volunteers to get into the tent otherwise, as if you're going to be entering the magical land of Narnia.  It's just a dumb tent but the beer is cold and food is delicious.

IF YOU DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE RIDE, AND YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME TO THE RALLY you will not be eligible for a patch or the door prize.  This IS a fundraiser - and a biker one, at that.  It is very geared towards a certain clientele.

Every dollar you spend on the morning vendors DIRECTLY supports your local military base clubs - Navy Wives, Chiefs Mess, etc. We hope this encourages more people to attend the ceremony and ride.

By donating at LEAST $30 AND participating in the Ride to the Flags XI, you will receive a wristband with a tear-off tab.  That tab will be you entry to win one of several door prizes.

This year, if you donate $50 or more, we are giving you a different pull off tab to be entered into a giveaway for a week-long stay in Hawaii.  No joke.  Do it.  Win the getaway.

Let's do this.

Invited by the Commanding Officer of the Naval Base Ventura County to attend the base-wide 9/11 memorial event. The starting point for the ride. Base vendors will be set up within the staging area to sell food and merch. Rally Americana:

You: Question… when is Ride to the Flags XII?
Us: Saturday, September 9th

You: What time does check in start?
Us: 7:30

You: I can’t read military time.
Us: Dude, it’s just 7:30am

You: I’m usually still in bed by then.
Us: Give us your number and we’ll give you a wake up call. We need to get there as early as possible to make it easier on everyone - including the Naval Base.

You: Ok, fine. How do I register?
Us: Click on any of the “Register” buttons throughout this web page.

You: When I did that, it created a personal fundraising page for me. Do I have to raise funds?
Us: You don’t HAVE to (unless you want a cool shirt), but we’d sure like you to try. Even if you ask a couple of family members and a co-worker, that helps our fundraising efforts tremendously. Statistics show that if you can get 7 people to donate, on average, you will raise over $500.

You: Is this only a motorcycle event? My brother has a Kia Optima and wants to take part.
Us: The ride is only for motorcycles. Condolences to your brother.

You: But it’s a sweet Kia with an American Flag paint job.
Us: Eeeeyeah, I’m sure it is. Still no.

You: Can he come to Rally Americana?
Us: Yes. Parking on Malibu Canyon Rd. Entry to the rally for someone not participating in the ride is free, but he won’t receive a door prize ticket or a patch unless he raises some sweet cash for our warrior.

You: What’s the door prize?
Us: A week-long stay at the Royal Kona Resort in Hawaii.

You: Wait. Seriously?
Us: Yup. We’re stepping it up a notch, so you’re gonna want to fundraise at least $50.

You: Can trikes come?
Us: Yes

You: What about scooters?
Us: Yup. I mean…ok, fine. Actually, yeah, do it. That’s pretty hilarious.

You: Can I still register at the check-in if I didn’t preregister?
Us: Yes. But pre-registering makes our lives much easier. So please do that.

You: Will I still get my patch and t-shirt?
Us: Maybe. We guarantee shirts for people who preregister. If we have any items left over after setting aside shirts for those that prereg - you could get one. We’re printing 650 patches, so once we’re out, we’re out. Patches will not be for sale at the rally. Get there early to get a patch.

You: That sucks.
Us: YOU suck for not preregistering.

You: Well, that was unnecessary.
Us: Not preregistering is unnecessary.

You: Can I still purchase those items?
Us: Everything but the patch, assuming we have some left over.

You: What form of payments do you accept?
Us: Cash, card, check. Cash is king. Bitcoin would be cool, but we have no idea how to accept that. And if you write a check, we’ll all laugh at you.

You: When is Rally Americana?
Us: From 11:00am-3:00pm, technically. Most bikers are gone by 2:30, honestly, but we’ll be hanging around. You can stay until we kick you out unless you want to help us clean up.

You: No. The thing is…I have plans right after…and…I need to wash my dog.
Us: Sure you do, guy. Sure you do.

You: What is the cost to enter for people that don’t participate in the ride?
Us: There is no cost this year. We’re hoping this attracts more people to come out and donate. This is a fundraiser so we hope that you would want to raise some funds for someone who really deserves it.

You: Where does my money go?
Us: First $10 of the biker’s donation goes to White Heart to help us offset expenses. ($15 if donating $50 or more and $20 for $100 and more - helps us offset the costs). The rest will go to our warrior, U.S. Army Green Beret SFC Joe Lowrey and family. 100% of any amount donated to your fundraising page by someone who ISN’T a biker will go to Joe. If we make more than what we need we’ll put the rest in our “Any Warrior” fund that is used for pressing items and services that our other warriors may need.

You: When I think of more questions, I’ll ask.
Us: Sounds good.
